Signing of the European Constitution
The temporary structures created by Eurotend were selected to host the signing of the European Constitution, an event that took place in Rome on 29 October 2004. The tensostructures hosted 1200 journalists who convened for this event from all over the world.
In the Bocca della Verità (“Mouth of the Truth”) district, 5 tents were installed (measuring 20m by 20m, 20m by 20m, 20m by 25m, 20m by 40m, and 20m by 55m), covering a total area of 3,200 m2, to accommodate journalists and media representatives.
The hardest problem addressed by Eurotend was a difference in the ground level of nearly two metres from one end of the area to the other.
To assemble the tents, Eurotend technicians had to modify the pillars, adjusting them to different heights. The floor was rendered perfectly level on a supporting structure made of steel tubes.
Besides the paving, the installation service supplied by Eurotend included the air-conditioning system, the construction of false ceilings, the lighting fixtures. The structures were installed with larger-sized profiles and were clad with wood and aluminium panels.
Thanks to the false ceilings, a diffused light generated a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The environment was so refined and comfortable it made people forget they were inside a tent.
The technological developments embodied in the structures and undivided attention to detail have been persuading more and more users to turn to companies such as Eurotend, companies that have worked hard over the years to ensure top quality products combined with impeccable service.
