Construction of the Champions Village for the Champions League final
Eurotend was asked to install about 8,000 m2 of tents to accommodate, before and after the games, the numerous guests invited by the official sponsors of the event.
The Champions Village was set up at the Foro Italico, in the beautiful setting of the Marble Stadium. Providing a roof over a large area is no hassle to Eurotend, but in this particular case the client wanted the paving of the athletics tracks and the lawn to be protected from damage. The problem was solved by placing multilayer panels over the entire surface of the stadium.
The anodised aluminium tents, with 4m high sides, were anchored to the ground by means of weights, and were equipped with entry doors and a wooden floor rested on a galvanised steel substructure. Their side walls were made of Crystal PVC and the roofs of dark-tinted PVC.
At an event of enormous resonance such as the Champions League final, attention to detail is essential. This prompted Eurotend to install the paving at some distance from the ground, so as to conceal the anchoring weights and keep them out of sight of the guests.
With this creation, Eurotend gave further proof of its mastery and ability to deal with events of an international nature.
